OUR STORY

Our Story Begins in Our Community

It all started when Dan Hernandez saw too many nonprofits struggling with the same problem.

Dan is an IT expert who was—and still is—deeply involved in the Bay Area nonprofit community. He saw that nonprofits were being asked to manage serious technology responsibilities without the same resources larger organizations have.

They have sensitive data to protect, staff who need reliable systems, compliance and cyber-insurance pressure, and limited budgets. But many IT providers either talk over them, push generic solutions, or don’t understand how nonprofit decisions actually get made.

Dan founded PCS in 1989 with a heart for service and a commitment to serving nonprofits.

And for the last 35+ years, we’ve had the honor of protecting the technology behind the missions that strengthen our community.

Our team is also involved in the local nonprofit community through board service, workforce development programs, and digital equity initiatives that help expand access to technology. That experience shapes how we show up today.
